Nathan Thompson was born in Cornwall in 1977. He studied music and musicology at the University of Exeter, where he later lectured part-time, and is currently working on a PhD in Contemporary Poetry and Psychogeography at the University of Salford under Scott Thurston. Now most often to be found somewhere in the English Channel between Jersey (old not New) and Hebden Bridge, he has read his work across the UK and beyond, including at the Poetry Hearings festival in Berlin, The Globe Bookshop in Prague and Berkeley Books in Paris. In 2009 he set up and presented PoAttic, a reading series bringing UK and international poets to Jersey’s Opera House. He has published two full collections with Shearsman Books as well as a number of pamphlets and chapbooks, the most recent of which is …, or The Night Terrors from Oystercatcher Press.
